How, What and Where
What is FFL? (back)
FFL Stands for Federal Firearms License. It is illegal to transfer firearms out of state without a license. You MUST use a FFL Dealer when selling a firearm to an out-of-state residence. FFL Dealers will always do background checks on the individual purchasing the firearm. The current law does not require the use of an FFL Dealer when selling a firearm to an in-state residence; however, you MAY still use a FFL Dealer when selling a firearm to an in-state residence if you wish. It is up to each individual to adhere to all local and federal laws. For more info, visit the ATF FAQ's, specifically Section B.
How are ads categorized? (back)
As members follow the How to Categorize Your Ad instructions, ads are categorized in two main ways--type and location. The type is identified as For Sale, Wanted or Service and Trade if the seller is also willing to trade. For location, the item is also placed in the Nearest Major City category so that members can search for ads by regional locations. So, to find all the ads nearest you, you can do a Custom Search by Nearest Major City and get all of the ads in your general region, as well as narrow them down with additional search filters. Note that when choosing your Nearest Major City, it may not be in your state, so choose your city without state boundaries. Also see How Do I categorize my ad?
